Regent Cinema

Clarke’s Environmental carried out a 10-week project to remove all asbestos from one of Redcar’s most prominent landmarks. Clarke’s Environmental were appointed by Redcar and Cleveland Council to remove all asbestos containing materials from the Regent to facilitate a full structural survey of the ageing building.

The works involved removing the entire auditorium roof, utilising a full high level decked scaffold, as well as full scaffold underpinning. Works were carried out on time and within budget, returning the building back to Redcar and Cleveland Council in time for the Festival of Thrift held on September 2018.
